Emakunde Basque Institute for Women Presentation

Women and the networks, which they have interwoven together, have played an important role in the people’s cultural and construction processes.

With the annual SARE meetings, whose aim is to be a forum of reflection, innovation and exchange on novel topics related to gender equality, Emakunde wishes to pay homage to all those women who have gone before us and to construct new networks that will help interweave spaces and times for equality.

For this, in the SARE 2007 edition, we have organized the International Conference “Masculinity and Daily Life”, whose objective is to analyze the incidence of traditional models of masculinity in the daily life of men and women.
